Abstract
Abstract. Climate change has a significant impact on the agricultural sector, not only on economic and environmental aspects but also on farmers’ mental health. Uncertain weather conditions, the risk of crop failure, and increasing economic pressure can trigger stress, anxiety, and other psychological disorders. Various studies indicate that farmers are among the vulnerable groups experiencing psychosocial impacts caused by climate change. However, public awareness regarding farmers’ mental health issues remains relatively low, especially in rural areas such as Tirtayasa Village.
This community service activity aims to increase farmers’ awareness and understanding of the impact of climate change on mental health through educational activities. The methods used include counseling sessions, interactive discussions, and the delivery of educational materials related to climate change and mental health. The target participants of this activity are farmers and local communities in Tirtayasa Village.
The expected outcomes of this activity are increased understanding and awareness among farmers regarding the importance of maintaining mental health amid climate change. In addition, farmers are expected to be able to manage psychological pressure more effectively, thereby improving their psychological resilience and overall community welfare. This activity is also expected to serve as a preventive effort in addressing the social and economic impacts of climate change on rural communities.
